Notice of Privacy Practices
Woodlands Senior Living and its affiliates are committed to the privacy of residents as outlined in our Notice of Privacy Practices. In order to safeguard the health records of residents, we adhere to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations.
According to HIPAA’s Privacy Rule, our communities may disclose medical information without specific authorization from the resident only when it is for the resident’s treatment, payment of the resident’s medical claims or for our own health care operations, for example, to monitor the quality of resident services.
To ensure compliance with HIPAA’s rules, we provide training to our employees on hire and at least annually thereafter.
